Breast Reduction

Breast Reduction (Mammoplasty Reduction)

The objective is to remove fat, glandular tissue and skin, to give a woman smaller, lighter and better-shaped breasts in proportion with the rest of her body. Surgery can also reduce the size of the areola or nipple if required.

Best Candidates

Women with very large breasts that restrict activities and cause physical discomfort.

Consultation

During your consultationwith the surgeon at the Clinic the surgeon will review your full medical history then examine and measure your breasts and discuss the variables that may affect the procedure. A mammogram may be required before surgery.

Procedure

An incision is made that circles the areola, extends downward, follows  the natural curve of the breast fold. Removal of excess glandular tissue, fat and skin is extracted, then the skin is brought in from both sides of the breast down and around the areola, shaping the new contour of the breast. At this point, large areolas and nipples can be decreased.
